Wednesday, the pentultimate day of my Olympic adventure,
promised to be something different.
On the flight over, I ended up sitting next to CBC News
Network’s Heather Hiscox. She and I
chatted off and on during the flight, and after a bit she asked me to come in
and be interviewed on the air about my Olympic experience. By the time I ended up on air on this day, I
had been to eight events, so I had had plenty to talk about!
Heather was an awesome interviewer – we talked about my
experiences at the event, with the transport, and the overall feel of what was
going on. All in all it lasted over five
minutes and was an absolute blast! It
was fun knowing that people were watching at home too!
Afterwards as I was in Trafalgar square, I tried to get into
Canada House but sadly no luck! Maybe
next time.
The evening brought court volleyball at Earl’s Court! What a wonderful time to be part of an event
in such a historical building.
And for luck, I got to hold a replica torch!
As the night winded down… I got a text, which then upped the
game for my final day on Thursday…
Cheers,
Vick.
